Following a successful amateur playing career highlighted by winning the Walker Cup in 1999 alongside Luke Donald and Paul Casey, David turned professional in 2001. David has played all over the world with his greatest playing achievement was winning on the European Challenge Tour. David has been golf coaching since 2008 and specialises in short game.

At the heart of all my golf coaching is the relationship I have with players. Golf coaching is a collaboration between player and coach to help the player achieve their golfing goals. The most important aspects of this are the ability to communicate effectively with each individual and earning the trust of the golfer. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is playing a small role in helping people fulfil their dreams whether it be a handicap cut, learning a new shot or winning National Titles. It is particularly rewarding seeing players develop and grow and become better people.
Developing Potential
I am a passionate and enthusiastic coach who uses innovative and practical tools to aid my pupils learning through self discovery. In addition to using the latest technology such as TrackMan, SAM PuttLab and Blast, I use everyday items like elastic bands, credit cards, tees to help provide accurate feedback.
I have had the chance over my career to see how the best players in the world go about their business and this enables me to provide this tour proven knowledge I have gained to my own pupils. I love coaching with all ages of players and definitely believe that everyone can learn new skills and play better golf.

How do you consistently lower your score? Most people don't know what they need to improve nor how to improve. Whether that is hitting more greens, longer tee shots, more consistent driving, less 3 putts, more up and downs, making better strategy decisions, learning how to practice effectively or finally conquering your nerves. There is an almost endless list of performance factors which makes this game so enjoyable and at times so infuriating! Performance is a behaviour not an outcome. David will create a bespoke individualised plan of improvement so you can understand the behaviours you require to start playing the golf you have always dreamed of.
